REUSABLE BOOT USB · PROXMOX REQUIRED

One USB.
Your next host.

Boot a compatible computer, detect its hardware and install Proxmox under ComputerUse management. Use the same USB for your next machine.

For 64-bit Intel and AMD computers with virtualization enabled, at least 8 GB RAM, a 64 GiB or larger internal disk and wired Internet. A 256 GB or larger SSD is recommended. ARM and Apple Silicon are not supported.

Write the image to an identified USB of at least 8 GB using a disk-image writer. This replaces the USB's contents. Copying the file into a folder is not enough. Once written, reuse the USB on each compatible computer.

Updated 11 September 2026: company option 1 no longer asks for an ERASE phrase. Rewrite an older USB to receive this change.

Pilot release. Installation, first-boot reporting and private remote management were verified in a virtual machine. Physical ThinkCentre validation and customer rental validation remain pending.

01 / BOOT

Start from the USB.

Connect Ethernet, a display and keyboard. On a ThinkCentre, enable virtualization with F1 if needed, then use F12 to select the USB. Choose ComputerUse setup.

02 / ENROLL

Detect and confirm.

Review the detected RAM and internal disks. A single internal disk is selected automatically. Choose 1 and enter company credentials to install, or use partner enrollment with your host ID and pairing code.

03 / START

Bring the host online.

Installation powers the computer off. Remove the USB and power it on again. Private management and health reporting start automatically.

The selected internal disk will be erased.

Proxmox replaces the selected disk's operating system, applications, files and recovery partitions. Back up what you need first. Setup displays the model, serial and capacity. Company option 1 authorizes erasure after authentication, without an extra typed phrase. Multiple disks require an explicit disk choice; partner enrollment retains its disk confirmation.

The USB contains no company password or host pairing code. Each successful enrollment creates private credentials for that node.

Find your computer

Company computers appear in Operations. Partner computers appear in their host account. Physical RAM determines the hardware tier; Proxmox's own memory use must be reserved before guest RAM is assigned.

Online does not yet mean available for rent. Customer VM provisioning, isolated desktop access, cleanup and payment checks must pass before sales are enabled.
